What Is a Liposome?
Nature’s Perfect Delivery Package. The Future of Supplements.
Nature has given us a unique tool to thwart the destructive acids in our stomach: lipids.
Liposomes are then, simply lipids injected with vitamins, minerals or other active compounds. The liposome has been demonstrated to protect these compounds through the stomach into the intestines, where much higher concentrations are made available to the body.
The vitamins are wrapped in the lipid molecule. Depending on the nature of the vitamin or mineral, the nutrient is placed either in the inner aqueous fluid or embedded within the cell membrane. Liposomal nutrients are then protected from the gut.
The compounds (e.g. minerals and vitamins), popular with many nutritional supplement manufacturers and consumers, are protected using liposomes; the lipids’ molecular nucleus or its membrane wall can store these compounds.
Fatty acid chains and molecules like phosphatidylcholine are what are used as the delivery mechanism in liposomes. However, once they are done delivering the ingredients, they become nutrition for your brain, liver and cells as they are a critical component in your body.
Valimenta uses the finest natural, non-GMOsunflowers to derive our lipids. Our liposome manufacturing process does not use heat or pressure, which can damage or alter the lipid structure.
